WoW - Wallpaper of the Week

Paul Tornabene

I think I have to thank the Just Beautiful Men blog for making me aware of the loveliness that is Paul Tornabene. I made these wallpapers a while ago, but never got around to sharing them. His birthday is this month, though when specifically I dunno, as all that's public is it's April 1983. That makes him 28. The combo of pretty face and rocking body make him rather appealing, doncha think?

WoW - Wallpaper of the Week

Alex Pettyfer, soon to be legal everywhere (he'll be 21 this week). Don't know much about him, 'cept he's pretty and the latest "it" boy. Heard he's kind of a jerk, but who knows how true that is? Looking as he does, there's rather a lot to be conceited about. Whether he'll be the next Brad Pitt or Richard Grieco, only time will tell. See his notorious appearance on Ellen, and more of him generally.

What can you say about Bel Ami's gift to the gay porn world, Lukas Ridgeston? The eyes, the lips, the face, the body, certain... parts of the body. He moved behind the camera a few years ago, which is a shame, since he's looking better now then he ever did, if these pictures are any indication. Pretty amazing for a guy whose 36th birthday is this week. An appreciation can be seen here.

Other birthdays this week:
•  Jesse McCartney (24)
•  Ryan Merriman (28)
•  Adrian Bellani (previously featured) (29)
•  Bret Harrison (29)
•  Taylor Kitsch (30)
•  Charlie Hunnam (31)

DDoM - DeCoteau Dude of the Month

This month's dude is Brett Novek, who'll be 27 later on this month. Boy's a fellow Floridian, born in Fort Lauderdale, just up the road from my hometown of Miami. Though he was born in '84, a few years after I moved further north in the state. Mostly a model, he's done OK with acting on the side. Brett has appeared in a couple of David's films, but of most interest to readers of this blog is his work in The Brotherhood V: Alumni. I didn't realize he got it on with Arthur Napiontek's character in the movie (see above clip). I thought David shied away from the overt guy-on-guy action, but that's obviously changed, hallelujah. You can find out more about Brett on his Myspace and Twitter accounts. There are several Facebook accounts for him, but dunno which (if any) are official.

It still amazes me how David gets the guys he gets, and gets them to do the things he does. Mad skillz, that's all I'm sayin'.

WoW - Wallpaper of the Week

Model boys this week, both with April 1st birthdays. No foolin'.

First is Edilson Nascimento, who'll be 25. Don't know much about him, except he's Brazilian and hot. More evidence in this video.

Next is soon-to-be 28 year old Matt Lanter. I probably first saw him in 2004 as a contestant on Manhunt: The Search for America's Most Gorgeous Male Model. I thought he was vaguely pretty and kind of small (height and physique) compared to the other guys. He didn't win the competition, but got more than halfway through, which is better than I remembered.

Next thing I saw him in was his brief stint on Heroes. Later he starred in Friedberg and Seltzer's Disaster Movie, which was good stupid entertainment. And Matt shirtless in a loincloth for starters, yum. It also turns out he's funny, which made me appreciate him more. 'Cause funny makes a guy that much more attractive.

He got a regular gig on the new 90210, which fortunately involved much shirtlessness, as can be seen here.

Another parody movie he did last year was Vampires Suck, based on, well, you can guess. His character was way cuter than the original too, imho. And the Jacobs? It's a toss-up, but I prefer White over Black.

Other birthdays this week:
•  Shawn Roberts (27)
•  Jeremy Bloom (29)
•  Randy Orton (previously featured) (31)
•  Jamie Bamber (previously featured) (38)
•  Ewan McGregor (40)
•  Mark Consuelos (41)
•  Christopher Meloni (50)

WoW - Wallpaper of the Week

Tomorrow Steven Strait (previously featured) will be 25. Doesn't seem to have done much since his last opus, 10,000 BC. Though I'm liking this look from 2009's City Island (more here). Just imagine what his career would have been like if he'd gotten that part in those movies, since he's who the author had in mind for the part. C'est la vie.

Other birthdays this week:
•  Sean Faris (previously featured) (29)
•  James Stevenson (30)
•  Jason Chambers (31)
•  Matthew Metzger (31)
•  Travis Wood (33)
•  Dax Griffin (36)
•  Nathan Fillion (previously featured) (40)
•  Richard Grieco (previously featured) (46)
•  Billy Warlock (50)
•  Timothy Dalton (67)
•  William Shatner (80)

WoW - Wallpaper of the Week

Not by me

Michael Bergin

Another trio. Tomorrow is Kellan Lutz's 26th birthday and Chris Bruno's 45th. And on Friday Michael Bergin turns 42.

Kellan's one of those bag-over-the-head guys for me. His face is bulldog-ish, but the body, phwoar! He says he doesn't want to be a piece of meat for the rest of his career. Well, save up your money now, because eventually people won't want to see you shirtless. Use it while you got it, dude.

Chris Bruno's likely best known for playing the sheriff on The Dead Zone TV series. Also has a pretty hot brother too. The genetics gods smiled on this family.

Michael's been previously featured, but I doubt there'll be complaints that he's showing up again. Dream job: Casting director on Baywatch. Just imagine the sights you would've seen.

Other birthdays this week:
•  Chris Klein (32)
•  Dane Cook (previously featured) (39)
•  Dalton James (40)
•  Rob Lowe (47)
•  Kevin Tod Smith (previously featured)
•  Kurt Russell  (60)
•  Patrick Duffy (previously featured) (62)
•  Erik Estrada (previously featured) (62)

A year without Mom

Gosh, it's hard to believe it was a year ago today that Mom passed. Wasn't sure how I'd be doing today, but it was OK. Probably helped that I took a couple of road trips this weekend.

Saturday went to Bunnell, then up and over to A1A and south. Couldn't figure why there were so many bikers on the road, then found out it was Bike Week. Waah, traffic!

Sunday I went oppositely, to Davenport, Haines City, Winter Garden and Lake Wales. Finally got to see Bok Tower, which is pretty amazing. Mom and I got there on one of our last trips, but it was 6 pm when we arrived, so the gates were closed. I know she was with me as I finally got to see the tower and the grounds.

Oh, and goat milk fudge! So when I used to go down to Miami regularly, I'd mostly use US 27, 'cause it's cheaper and more scenic than the Turnpike. I used to pass this place that sold goat milk fudge, and always meant to get some, but never did. In recent trips, I saw it was still there. Yesterday I at last stopped there and got some. Webb's Candy Factory, it is. Fudge tasted good, not at all goaty. And I highly recommend getting ice cream. One scoop is nearly a pint! And for 2.95, not bad.

Nearly 600 photos got, and several more stamps in my Florida State Parks passport. Two-thirds done, huzzah!

Anyway, there have been ups and downs this past year, but mostly I've muddled through. What the future brings, that'll be interesting.

DDoM - DeCoteau Dude of the Month

The dude of the month is One Life to Live's John Paul Seponski, a/k/a John-Paul Lavoisier. It appears he was first credited with the Lavoisier last name in Wolves Of Wall Street, the first and only movie he did with David. I wonder if that's who got him to change it from Seponski?

John Paul turns 31 in a couple of weeks, and shares a birthday this month with another previously featured dude. See more of Johnny-boy still and in action.
