I'm not much of a jazz lover. But when it comes out of the throat and across the full, full lips of Harry Connick Jr., I like it a whole lot more. He's 43 today, and was letting himself go for a while. But as long as he's got that voice, he'll be alright by me. More about him at his site.
How convenient. Two of the stars of a little gem of a movie, That Thing You Do!, have birthdays that are very close.
Today is Tom Everett Scott's 40th birthday. He played Guy Patterson, the protagonist. Tom's not a big muscley guy. He's boy-next-door cute, sweetly sexy. Not a bad thing, not at all.
Johnathon Schaech, who'll be 41 on Friday, played the temperamental leader of the One-ders, Jimmy Mattingly. Contrary to Tom, Johnathon's got a dark, dangerous, bad-boy attraction. The face, handsome but not overly so. The body, on the other hand, phreow! And he doesn't wax, thank you Lord. Variety, and that's a good thing. See more of Johnny here.
I watch Numb3rs for many reasons. Good stories, good acting. And eye candy. You've got Charlie and Don, of course. But let's not forget Colby, played by Dylan Bruno, who's now 38. He's just so square-jawed and solid, and that raspy voice, mmm. Dylan's brother Chris ain't too shabby either.
