WoW - Wallpaper of the Week

I really don't know a thing about soon-to-be 28 year old Henry Cavill, except that he's British and cast as the lead in the upcoming Superman movie. Ironically, he was going to be Superman in the last "reboot", but after a change of directors he lost out to Brandon Routh. Cavill came to most people's notice in The Tudors, which I never saw since I don't get Showtime. I'm keeping an open mind about him playing the Man of Steel. Especially after checking out a few of his looks.

Much, much more interesting (to me, anyway) is Robert Buckley, turning the big three-0 this week. Stunning, yummy, hotsie-totsie, humina-humina are a few of the more worksafe terms that come to mind when I look at him. I think I first became aware of him because of Lipstick Jungle. I didn't watch it,  but his pictures were all over the internet. Yowza! Then he did Flirting with Forty, and I was in love. Or something a bit more carnal. Now Robert's a regular on One Tree Hill, where he sort of replaced the Chad.

A plethora of great photos can be found at Just Jared. This interview while he was doing Lipstick Jungle reveals he was an economics major, which means he's smart as well as hunky. It also shows his sly sarcasm. Which all amps the sexy in my book. An appreciation of much of his body of work can be found here.

Other birthdays this week:
•  Anton Antipov (28) (previously featured)
•  Lance Bass (32)
•  Enrique Iglesias (36)
•  Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson (39)
•  Ivan Sergei (40)
•  Justin Melvey (42) (previously featured)
•  George Clooney (50)

DDoM - DeCoteau Dude of the Month

You may know this month's guy if you're a fan of Glee. It's none other than Cory Monteith, who'll be 29 later this month. "What?" I hear you say, "Cory was in one of David's epics?"

Cory was born and raised in Canada, which I didn't know, eh? Lucky for him that he lived in British Columbia, 'cause it made it easy to get acting work in Hollywood North (Vancouver, that is). He had small parts in most of the shows filming up there, including Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis, Supernatural, Smallville, Kyle XY and Flash Gordon

Then in 2005 he got his film break, appearing in DeCoteau's Killer Bash. He showed off the contractually obligated amount of skin required by any young man in a Decoteau film. Right after that, he was in Bloody Mary, and showed off almost everything. The things a starving young actor will do for a part. After that, his film work was almost exclusively in the horror genre. Then along came Glee, and the rest is history.
