Tomorrow is the birthday of Steven Strait, who I swear could be Jason Momoa's younger brother. He first got major notice in Sky High. Fun movie, btw, wish they'd done a sequel. Saw Undiscovered, and was underwhelmed. With the movie, not him. And boy ain't a bad singer at all.
Didn't see the next two movies he did, both fairly major, The Covenant and 10,000 BC. I know, I know, and he's wearing less than he did in the prior ones. The Covenant, in particular, looks interesting. Like a David DeCoteau with a big budget. It does have more than a passing resemblance to the DeCoteau classic Voodoo Academy. Hard to believe The Covenant was directed by a straight guy. Anyway, the video is a compilation someone did of the many looks of Steven. All of which are pretty fine.
The big day for Nathan Fillion is Saturday. I kind of remember him from Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place. Most would recognize him from Firefly and Serenity. More recently he did Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, which is absolutely amazing and unexpected. Go watch as soon as possible.
I like Nathan's work. He's talented and funny and all. But he's always looked... unfinished to me. He's not ugly by any means, but he's not gorgeous, either. But definitely more towards the not-ugly end of the spectrum.
