WoW - Wallpaper of the Week
It's Pride Week, and keeping true to this blog, celebrating it in the most shallow way possible. Well, mostly. There'll be at least one wallpaper each day. A couple will have gay connections, the rest are ones that gays like to look at. Let us begin.
Today's guys share today as a birthday, and that's about all they have in common. First is 24 year old Britisher Ed Westwick. I've not watched Gossip Girl, which you might find surprising, considering some of the guys on the show. But it never really grabbed my interest. Of the three male leads, though, in order of hotness to me are Penn, Chace and Mister Westwick. Ed doesn't look real, more like a mannequin. I've heard him talk in interviews and he seems nice enough. I prefer his natural English accent, too. But if anyone wants him, go for it, I won't fight you. Gay connection? Kissed another guy on Gossip Girl. Eh.
I will fight you over the previously featured Christian Kane (now 37). And for him, I'll fight dirty, 'cause he's mine! Though I'd probably cut the hair. I'm warming to it some, but I still think he looks better with less girly hair. He does seem to have bulked up a bit more since he's started in Leverage, which you won't hear me complaining about. And when I listen to him... Well, you try it and see what you think. Gay connection? Part in a movie (see below).

WoW - Wallpaper of the Week
Steve Sandvoss, 31 years old. A fresh faced young guy, with a physique that's not too shabby. Surprised he's not gotten more work, as he's not just a pretty face, but can act too. Who can figure Hollywood?

WoW - Wallpaper of the Week
Next month will see the premiere of the Captain America movie. And tomorrow is the 30th birthday of it's star, Chris Evans (previously featured). He's come a long way since his Not Another Teen Movie days. But even back then, he was a star. Hopefully it'll be a long time before he decides to be taken seriously as an actor and won't do parts requiring shirtlessness. Heck, even Mark Wahlberg will doff his top for the right role.
Gay connection? Yes, very. His younger brother is gay. Chris is very supportive of Scott, and gay issues. Which makes him sexier, if that's possible.
Other birthdays this week:
• Aaron Johnson (21)
• Nathan Parsons (23)
• Jordi Vilasuso (30)
• Neil Patrick Harris (38) (previously featured)
• Greg Vaughan (38) (previously featured)

• Johnny Rahm (47) (deceased)
• Richard Thomas (60)

WoW - Wallpaper of the Week - extra
Today Jonathan Bennett and his eyebrows exit their twenties. It looks like he's gotten off the prequel train, which should help him be taken more seriously as an actor.
Though I hope he does some comedy, since he seems to be good at it. Learn more about him and his career in this interview. You can see him in PC Beach having Spring Break fun here. And more to see of him back in his soap days here.

WoW - Wallpaper of the Week
This week only one of the guys has a gay connection, but it's direct, 'cause he's openly gay.
The young man in question is 28 year old theater actor Nick Adams. He's never done TV or movies, from what I can glean. Shame, considering how good he looks. And, my, what beautiful eyes he has.
Whilst examining his physiognomy, I couldn't help but think he reminded my of someone. Then it hit me. He's like a more muscular version of the YouTubing Tony Coburn.
OK, quick diversion. Tony makes excellent short films, mostly Doctor Who themed, frequently with Thomas Rees-Kaye. Both extremely talented, and rather cute besides. I'm more of a Thomas fan (his resume), maybe because he's loonier. Tony was a young Lucius Malfoy in one of the Harry Potter films, but sadly his scenes wound up on the cutting room floor. Check out Tony's stuff through his timelordfromhell account, and Thomas via his mastercrevasse account. Maybe someday I'll do wallpapers of them.
End of diversion. Now to discuss the other birthday subject, Shane West, who turns 33 this week. Hm, now that I look at him, he reminds me a bit of Mister Rees-Kaye. Both tall and lanky and spiky-haired. But Shane comes off as more sullen and badboy-esque. Not been terribly interested in his career, only seeing him in stuff by happenstance. Kind of liked him in The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Oh, no gay connection with him. Hasn't even played gay, so it seems. Can't win 'em all.
Other birthdays this week:
• Alexandre Despatie (26)
• Dave Franco (26)
• Eric Violette (30)
• Dustin Lance Black (37)
• Karl Urban (39) (previously featured)
• Mark Feuerstein (40)
• Gordon Michael Woolvett (41)
• Dan Futterman (45)
• Michael J. Fox (50)
• Andrew Stevens (56) (previously featured)
• James Darren (75)
• Chad Everett (75)

WoW - Wallpaper of the Week - extra
Anderson Cooper, the Silver Fox, the new old blue eyes is 44 years old today. He looked like this shirtless less than three years ago. Not bad at all, though he could use some tanning.
And he's still of undetermined sexuality, officially.
He says he doesn't want to discuss his private life, because it'll compromise his journalistic integrity, or so as not to emulate his mother's public life. This from the man who hosted The Mole for two seasons, fills in for Regis on Live with Regis and Kelly and hosts CNN's New Year's Eve special (the last two years with Kathy Griffin, as if the way he laughs at Kathy's jokes isn't a dead giveway). Until he comes out, one way or the other, there'll be no end of stuff like this. Or speculation like this and stories like this about who he's involved with. Please, enough with the coy evasions. Just come clean; it'll be better for everyone. Might even serve as a role model for aspiring youths.

DDoM - DeCoteau Dude of the Month
This month's dude is 22 year old (well, in a couple of weeks) Jud Birza. He looks like a "dude", doesn't he?
This was someone David really lucked out with. Jud starred in 1313: Nightmare Mansion (at one point titled A Dream Within a Dream). Then he auditioned and got on Survivor: Nicaragua. He got the nickname of Fabio due to his long hair, though he's not nearly as muscular, but is way prettier than the original. Anyway, Jud won the grand prize, and David got a marketing bonus for 1313: Nightmare Mansion when it was finally released. David elaborates in this interview. And you can see a little of Jud's work in this trailer for the movie.

WoW - Wallpaper of the Week
Preparing posts for the next few weeks, an unintentional theme evolved. All turned out to have a gay connection. Don't know how long it'll continue, but will last at least until the end of June (a/k/a Pride week).
So this week's post we have two guys who've both played gay. First is Gregory Michael whose 30th birthday is today. Y'all should know him as one of the leads on Dante's Cove. When is that coming back, by the way? Here! said there'd be another season, but it's been out of production since the end of '07. It's looking like we'll have to get our campy gay horror fix from our old reliable source. Greg has been doing Greek, but since that series ended a few months ago, he's free for a Dante's Cove reunion.
Then we have Justin Long, who'll turn 33 on Thursday. He's one of those guys who's gonna like 10 years younger than he actually is. He's done quite a bit of horror and drama roles, but I think his gift is for comedy. I've liked him since 1999's Galaxy Quest, which was his screen debut. Hasn't done bad for himself since then. Such a cutie-pie Justin still is.
If you noticed a birthday missing below, I am featuring someone else later this week.
Other birthdays this week:

WoW - Wallpaper of the Week
Here's another of those complete opposite posts.
First is he who hits the big 4-0 today, one of the first Real World-ers, Eric Nies. Hard to believe the first Real World premiered back in '92, almost twenty years ago. It ushered in the end of MTV as a music video channel only, and started the whole reality show trend, for good or ill. Mostly ill, imho.
Anyway, Eric was a bright spot. A hot, hunky, oft-times shirtless bright spot. He wasn't even 21 when he started the show. Then he went on to exploit that body in exercise videos and other ventures. Nowadays he's let himself go in the grooming department, but still seems to have a pretty slammin' bod.
From beefy and American to pretty and British, we turn to Gregg Sulkin, who'll be 19 later on this week. I stumbled across him on Wizards of Waverly Place. Yes, I watch it; it's a fun and silly show, so sue me. Anyway, Gregg is cute as a button, and the accent just adds to that. It'll be interesting to see where he'll be in twenty years. Big star or "Confessions of a Teen Idol: The Next Generation"? Only time will tell.
Other birthdays this week:
• Chris Colfer (22)
• Mark Hapka (26)
• Darin Brooks (28)
• Lane Garrison (32)
• Jesse Bradford (33)
• Adam Rickett (34) (previously featured)

• Cillian Murphy (36)
• Mark Collier (41)
• Joseph Fiennes (42)
• Matt Gunther (49) (deceased)
• Jim Bentley (52)
• Adrian Paul (53) (previously featured)
