WoW - Wallpaper of the Week - extra
Huzzah! Sebastian Stan (previously featured) will be back in the next Captain America film, Captain America: The Winter Solder. We'll have to wait until April 2014 to see his big giant pompadoured head on the big screen in that movie, but considering the title, at least it's likely he'll be in more of it than Captain America: The First Avenger.
He was appropriately cast as the Mad Hatter in Once Upon a Time. You know, because of his huge cranium. Seriously, he looks like if the Frankenstein monster had been made really hot. If you didn't catch it when it aired previously, see if you can find Political Animals. His character is gay and frequently shirtless, so a win-win all around. You can ogle him more at Superherofan and Tumblr, and here tomorrow.

WoW - Wallpaper of the Week - extra
Thank you, casting people, for having the uncommon good sense to keep Steven Strait (previously featured) employed. And in frequently semi-clothed roles. Like City Island and Magic City, for example. Now if they'd only do a sequel to The Covenant, I'd be a completely happy camper. More to see at Superherofan and Tumblr.

WoW - Wallpaper of the Week
Sebastian Stan (29 tomorrow) is the last of The Covenant guys I've not done wallpapers of. No, technically that's not true. I've done ones for Steven, Taylor, Chace and Kyle, but not Toby Hemingway. Mostly because I can't find any really good pictures of him, surprisingly. If some ever turn up, of course, that'll change.

John Carter
I've still not gotten 'round to seeing John Carter, but I've had these wallpapers ready for a while. I figured I shouldn't put off releasing them any longer, so here they are. Oh, Taylor, don't decide to become a "serious" actor and not show off that body for many more years, please.
Unfortunately, the box office wasn't great, so it's unlikely we'll see more Barsoomian adventures anytime soon. But there is another ERB franchise that's ripe for rebooting. Why haven't there been any new Tarzan movies, eh?

WoW - Wallpaper of the Week
Tomorrow Steven Strait (previously featured) will be 25. Doesn't seem to have done much since his last opus, 10,000 BC. Though I'm liking this look from 2009's City Island (more here). Just imagine what his career would have been like if he'd gotten that part in those movies, since he's who the author had in mind for the part. C'est la vie.
Other birthdays this week:
• Sean Faris (previously featured) (29)
• James Stevenson (30)
• Jason Chambers (31)
• Matthew Metzger (31)
• Travis Wood (33)
• Dax Griffin (36)
• Nathan Fillion (previously featured) (40)
• Richard Grieco (previously featured) (46)
• Billy Warlock (50)
• Timothy Dalton (67)
• William Shatner (80)

WoW - Wallpaper of the Week
I never heard of Kyle Schmid (26 tomorrow) until I saw Blood Ties. All his prior work was outside my normal areas of interest. Admittedly, he did The Covenant, but I never saw that. Yeah, I know, I know. But his other stuff? I mean, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants? Anyway, on Blood Ties he played a vampire who I would be willing to have sink his fangs into me. I was so disappointed to hear it didn't get picked up; it had interesting potential. He did do a guest spot on Smallville, and it looks like he's got several projects in the works. So here's hoping we continue seeing more of Kyle.
Btw, what is it with guys named Kyle, that they usually look like this? Though there are exceptions.
Talk about outside my normal interest areas! That describes David "Wolfman" Williams (24 on Wednesday). I think I saw pictures of him on a blog somewhere; I wish I could remember which one. Whoever it was, thank you! Aussie footballers (rugby players, for those of us stateside) have started to cross my radar, what with photos from Dieux du Stade and, in Williams case, Gods of Football all over the 'net. Seeing prior pictures of him, the beard is a turnoff, to me at least. Now that he's shaved, though, yow! Check this video (at home, it's NSFW) to see why.
Yes, I did quite a few Marcus Schenkenberg wallpapers. What with him being a model, there's lots of great photos available as source material. Like here, for example. Do I hear any complaints? Going once, going twice... didn't think so. Oh, and he'll be 42 on Wednesday.
