WoW - Wallpaper of the Week - extra
You know, I really need to give credit where credit is due. I scrounge for photos all over the internet to make these wallpapers. Many are candid shots or are taken by who knows whom. But there are some which are taken by professional photographers, and I should thank them for their lovely work.
My first wallpaper of Justin Hartley (previously featured) is a prime example. It was taken by picture taker extraordinaire Tom Cullis. Some of these wallpapers of Justin are also derived from his work. There'll be some more tomorrow too. You can Tom's work at ModelMayhem here. Plus some more of Justin from the past at Superherofan, and current-er stuff at Tumblr.

WoW - Wallpaper of the Week
I'm finding it more difficult to find wallpaper material for the summer birthday guys, at least for some weeks. Like this one. So I'm going with my preferred fallback, models. Quite a few don't give out a specific birthday, just a year. Like TJ Hoban, who was born in 1972, making him 40. He's acted here and there, but is probably best known as a fitness model. I've seen this picture floating around the Internet for a while, and finally I know who it is. He's been on the cover of most of the major fitness magazines. You can see more of his abs here, and check out this Bowflex commercial.

WoW - Wallpaper of the Week
Justin Hartley (35 this week, and previously featured) hasn't had much screen time since the end of Smallville. He did a small guest spot on Chuck, which was nice, but with no shirtlessness, which was not so good. And he'll be on an episode of Castle tonight, so tune in, folks.
And CW, where's the love? They're doing a Green Arrow pilot, but Justin isn't even attached to the project?! Grrr. But they don't hate him completely, since he's going to be on Hart of Dixie later this year, possibly as a recurring character. Him and Wilson Bethel on the same show, which has no lack of shirtlessness... oh, the possibilities.
It's nice he did get some time away from the biz; he's earned it. Considering his being on Dixie later, I doubt he'll let himself go. 'Cause I don't think any of us are ready to see the last of this.

Hey, Jesse! I couldn't mention Mister Mooby Jesse Metcalfe without a few wallpapers. An oldie, and some ones I made more recently.

WoW - Wallpaper of the Week
Both of this week's guys have appeared on Smallville, one near the beginning, the other near the end.
Reynaldo Rosales (33 today) played the guy with the touch of death (and pretty eyes) in the first season episode Reaper. He's done a bunch of theater, but you may have also seen him on Charmed (Finn) and several episodes of Law and Order. You can see his demo reel here.
Eric Martsolf (the big four-o later this week) appeared as Booster Gold in Smallville's final season this year, in an episode directed by none other than Mister Welling. I really liked his performance, and wish we could have seen more of the character. Maybe a spinoff, with Justin.
Speaking of which, Eric is the third Passions hunk to appear on Smallville, after Jesse and Justin. Surprisingly, no Booster shirtlessness. It's not like Eric hasn't done it before, frequently. Like this on Passions, or this on Days of Our Lives. And he's even willing to make fun of the phenomenon, which makes him that much sexier. Now if he could sing too, there'd be no way he'd be safe around me. Oh, damn, he can do that too.
I've only heard how over the top Passions was, but zombie cop? After that, nothing could embarrass you, not even copious shirtlessness. See more examples of such here and here.

GAY ROLES (Rosales): Law and Order

Ah, Smallville, how we will miss thee
So last week was the series finale of Smallville. I was kind of disappointed. The whole Darkseid storyline wrap up felt very deus-ex-machina. And couldn't they have given a closeup of Welling, head to toe, in the Superman duds? Yet I was still crying at the end, 'cause I'm a big old sap, and it was neat to finally see him become Superman.
I wonder if there'll ever be another show with such shameless exploitation of such a variety of hot guys? Maybe 90210, if it lasts longer. It's amazing that Smallville wasn't a Spelling show, since Charmed was neck-and-neck in that department.
The cast has inspired many a wallpaper here. In fact, the launch of this blog (two years ago yesterday) was of one of them. So I thought I'd do an homage. Also fear not, I'll be doing more wallpapers in the future of guys from the show, since it's a goldmine (no, not that kind) that's far from being exhausted. Thank you, WB/CW, for keeping it on for 10 years. Yep, the stories got crappier as the series continued, but the guys, oh, the guys...
